Yiiki Bolero Hello my friends. It has been 8weeks since I departed Lagos. I have missed writing you as things have happened so fast and creative work has been so so intense ...... October came with so many mixed feelings. News from the home(Nigeria) About the #endsars protest and  front like everywhere around the world too wasn’t great. Wahala everywhere.  Touring Plans have changed slightly again as lockdown 2.0 hits Europe. This 2020 ehnnnnn. A wedding  of my friend Eric Nebbie popularly known as(kirikou).  A birthday party of my beloved TonTon (Uncle) in  Burkina, Jean Baptiste Guiard Schmid . where I met the World heavy weight...

Another chapter in the book of my life opens.  #movement flying post covid Like every human being alive, I also had my life and plans placed on suspension by the pandemic,Just as the masterpiece we had prepared was ready for play(e be whot tins charley). I returned home with mixed emotions and I swore to make the best of it (Oluwa Teshi “aye poo gan” please listen to Burna Boys 23 on his twice as nice album.). Like many other performers,the-world-over,I embraced technology,moved my dance & fitness classes online,attended Soooo many performances ,workshops and was a guest at several online platforms sharing my experiences.  When I saw and heard some motivational speakers say in July that this “2020 will bring goodness” I jus swallow spit. GLORIA UGWARELOJO BIACHI  Popularly known as Teshi (Te_she),is a Nigerian,Lagos based choreographer, dance teacher and fitness instructor,she is a strong,dramatic modern african dancer. Since 2010 Gloria practical experience are working with professionals ,beginners and children of all ages. Her work includes theater,television shows, and motion pictures. She possesses an extreme eye for detail, excellent time management skills, Excellent ability to break down dances into simpler smaller routines and the ability to communicate well in a creative team. Gloria is an ensemble member of the RITE of Spring production, which debuts with it's first ever African edition.  Since December 2019 ,i have been away from lagos Nigeria,and i am excited to show you what i have been working on .  @ sadlers_wells   Back in March, we were rehearsing a new production in Senegal with @pinabauschfoundation and @ecoledessables. 38 dancers from auditions held across 14 African countries had come together to revive a masterpiece as it had never been seen before – Pina Bausch's The Rite of Spring, created in 1975. It was going to be incredible. ⁠ ⁠ When Covid-19 forced the world into lockdown, we had to halt rehearsals and cancel performances. ⁠ ⁠ But before the lockdown rules came into effect the company had time for one last rehearsal. On the beach. In Toubab Dialaw, Senegal. At dusk. Set to Stravinsky's rousing music. Luckily a filmmaker captured the whole thing on camera.
