ILÈ

ILÈ meaning LIFE  is culled from the Ebu speaking tribe of Delta state in the southern part of Nigeria. Life is a cycle and in the race of life it is not known who wins or loses (until the end of time). So we live in search of freedom, we leave in migration for greener pastures. We intentionally live determined to stir the next person to making a lasting impression and taking every opportunity. But life has shown us that as beautiful as  life is, it is still a brutal war for survival, consisting of daily battles. ILE can be aptly described as a result of my research on the beauty of life from birth to death. This artistic expression is a result of my December 2020 residency at Le Grin des Arts Vivants/lnternational Dance School Irene Tassembedo. The inquest focuses on challenges and experiences associated with the female folks and attempts to offer open ended solutions as inspired by greater women, who excelled in their careers despite the daily
